Did you catch the premiere of TV5′s newest mini-series, Nandito Akoa few weeks back? The show was a worldwidetrending topic on Twitter on its premiere night, and for good reason: it stars David Archuleta! The show is quite a treat for fans of the super cute American Idol alum, as not only does the series showcase David’s singing prowess, it lets him show off his acting chops, too!

David stars alongside two of TV’s primetime princesses, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Eula Caballero. Josh also happens to be on a quest to solve the mystery of his past and find his mother, whom he lost in a tragic fire in the Philippines when he was a child. It’s the same fire that killed the father of Anya (played by Jasmine), who is best friends with Holly (played by Eula). These three characters are involved in a riveting love triangle that keeps viewers hooked on the series.

It took the cast and crew three grueling weeks of shooting daily for the series. Other stars of the show include Gelli de Belen, Aiko Melendez, G. Toengi, Alwyn Uytingco, Ana Capri, Joseph Bitangcol, and more.
